Thank you to everyone who helped make our 2023 Outreach Benefit a great success. Last Saturday evening, 130 members and friends of Kenilworth Union Church gathered at Kenilworth Assembly Hall to support the church’s nonprofit partners. Dressed in cozy Après Ski attire, attendees enjoyed the fellowship of others and learned more about the transformative work undertaken by our Outreach partners.
Over dinner, Breakthrough’s Yolanda Fields, Josselyn’s Susan Resko, and RefugeeOne’s Melineh Kano all shared personal stories about the people and communities impacted by their agencies’ service work. A live auction emceed by Taylor Cole followed, with grand prizes ranging from vacation packages to the highly coveted Dinner Party for 10 hosted by the Evertsbergs. While donations are still being counted, between the live and silent auction, raffle, paddle raise, and gifts from congregants, we expect that $150,000 will have been raised.
It was a wonderful night for the Kenilworth Union community and our Outreach partners. Again, a heartfelt thank-you to the people who made this event possible: Benefit Chair Chris Beer, Outreach co-chairs Mike Revord and Denise Akason, emcee Taylor Cole, and all of the members and staff who gave their time, energy, and money towards these great causes.
