Expanding our relationships with fellow Christians.

View an overview below, and consider marking your schedule to participate in the opportunities listed in the calendar and blog.

#kucgreenteam

Kenilworth Union Church Green Team was formed in the fall of 2019 to encourage us as a church community to be good stewards of God’s creation. Putting together a Green Team also gave Kenilworth Union the opportunity to become part of a statewide organization, Faith in Place, whose mission is to support hundreds of houses of worship across Illinois to “be leaders in caring for the Earth, providing resources to educate, connect, and advocate for healthier communities.”

#racialjustice

Kenilworth Union hosts national leaders to speak to current challenges in our city, state, and country. Gather with us for these events, which have recently addressed international relations, Chicago and Illinois state finances, education, crime, civic affairs, and voter behaviors. Learn more about the Racial Justice Group here.

Faith & Leadership

Join this speaker series to hear from experts on the challenges of upholding a Christian life in a fast paced, competitive work environment.

How can we maintain our values as we seek professional growth and face obstacles in the workplace, community, and at home? How can faith and religious principles undergird decision-making for ethically sound organizations?

You are welcome to attend Faith & Leadership events. There is no admission fee or reservation needed. Meetings take place on Friday mornings over refreshments from 7 to 8:15 a.m. All events take place at Kenilworth Union Church and are open to the public.

Adult Travel Education

Attend local performances and events during frequent church-hosted gatherings, most notably at the Lyric Opera and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Also, international travel trips to religious venues as well as pilgrimages are hosted each year. All adults are invited to engage in these programs.
