Did you sing in college or high school? Do you miss the fellowship and musical joy of being in a choir? New voices are needed to join the Chancel Choir, especially sopranos and altos. Please join us for rehearsal and experience the glory of singing to the Lord with gladness. We meet Thursdays at 7 p.m.

To become a member of any of the music ensembles, please contact Minister of Music, Lisa Bond.

Music Ministry Ensembles

Bambino Choir

Bambino Choir, for junior kindergarteners, returns from a two-year hiatus on January 17, 2023 at 4:30 to 5:10 p.m. The choir meets in the basement music room, and parents are welcome to stay and observe, though not required. This youngest children’s choir will be led by Minister of Music,  Lisa Bond and Assistant Director of Choirs, Alyssa Bennett. Activities include singing church songs, music games, dancing/movement, some basic instrument playing (percussion, boomwhackers, or xylophones) and various fellowship play activities. All are welcome and bring a friend.

Cherub Choir

Cherub Choir, for children in kindergarten and first grade, meets September through May on Wednesdays from 4:15 to 4:55 p.m. The schedule overlaps for ten minutes with Rejoice Singers and Ringers rehearsal, and the ensemble sings with Rejoice for worship a few times per church year. This choir is led by Lisa Bond and Ryan Belongie. New members are always invited; every voice makes a difference.

Rejoice Singers and Ringers

Rejoice sings and rings bells for worship several times per church year. This choir is led by Lisa Bond and Ryan Belongie. New members are always invited and all are welcome; every voice makes a difference.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir sings an anthem for almost every worship service, and offers two large choral/orchestral works per year. This is a very dedicated group comprised of professional and volunteer singers. It is also a very rewarding fellowship opportunity. The Chancel Choir is directed by Lisa Bond and Alyssa Bennett. We are also very fortunate to have seven professional section leaders, all of whom have successful vocal careers throughout the Chicago area.

This unique adult choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. and on Sunday mornings, the choir meets 45 minutes before worship in preparation for the 8:30 or 10 a.m. worship services.

KUC Youth Choir

This energetic youth choir follows the apprenticeship multi-age approach to learning, and has many performance opportunities throughout the church season. The Youth Choir is led by Lisa Bond and Alyssa Bennett. It is a large group for ages 12 and up that meets on Sunday mornings from 11 a.m. to noon (after worship).
