Meg Caswell

Meg grew up in Kenilworth and is the granddaughter of Bill Graham who was the CEO of the health care company Baxter International from 1953–1980. She will share with us how her grandfather was her mentor and taught her to follow her passion.

She began her career in design at The Art Institute of Chicago where she completed her B.F.A. in interior architecture. After graduation and a few years in her career she was launched into the national spotlight as a top interior designer when she won Season 6 of HGTV’s “Design Star,”  Following that award, she went on to host her own show, “Meg’s Great Rooms.” In addition, she has starred in specials, including “America’s Best Kept Secrets,” “HGTV Home Makeover” and “America’s Most Embarrassing Living Room.” She is also a regular on local Chicago and national television talk shows, including ABC’s “Windy City Live,” NBC’s “Open House,” “Fox News” and “Good Day L.A.” You will also see her featured in national ad campaigns for both Lowe’s and Big Lots.

Meg is a driving force with a group called “Welcome Home Angel” that allows her to “give back” with an open heart and using her design talents. This group’s mission is to provide a safe and functional home environment to deserving families who have children with special needs. With her design talents she and her team help create a cheerful and functional home for a child who has suffered an unexpected medical crisis or has a diagnosis with multiple challenges. With her help there are now chapters in all 50 states.

It is a privilege to have her with us. You will find her delightful and entertaining. It will be the perfect launch for our new First Wednesday season. Please RSVP today to Sallie Smith to reserve your spot at the table.
